Chestnut posts are a so-called European hardwood species with a high durability class, which is suitable for many applications. The wood does not need to be treated with environmentally harmful impregnation. The chestnut wood comes from coppice cultures. This is cut over a period of approximately 20 years, after which new shoots grow on the wood stoves into usable sustainable chestnut wood. Responsible forest management preserves the biotope and the inexhaustible source creates a real cycle.
