This is a hardwood with durability class I. These rabat parts are FSC certified from responsible forest management. Hardwood rabat parts are more environmentally friendly than impregnated rabbet parts because hardwood does not have to undergo chemical preservation. We give a 25 year guarantee on the hardwood

Thermal or modified wood

Modified wood is wood that has been given different properties by chemical or heat treatment. Wood modification is mainly aimed at improving sustainability without the use of environmentally damaging preservatives.
